Announcements
Luminaries for Sale for Holy Friday
This year, on Holy Friday evening, as the Epitaphios makes its procession around the outside of the Church, the night sky will be lit up with luminaries in memory of our loved ones. Heart-to-Heart Ministry is making memorial luminary bags as a fundraiser for our ministry. Each bag will have a sticker with the name(s) of your departed loved one(s) (up to five names per bag). The names need not be only Orthodox — you may honor anyone you wish. If you purchased a luminary bag last year and wish to use the same names, Heart-to-Heart is asking for a donation of $10 per bag. If you would like a new bag with new names, the donation is $15. What a beautiful way to honor our departed loved ones on Holy Friday evening! Please see Ecmel Aktalay after Church to make your donation and write the names of your loved ones. For questions, please see Ecmel Aktalay or Philanthy Nichols.
Easter Bread for Sale!
St. Mark's will be offering Easter Bread (Tsourekia) baked by the Sisters of Annunciation Monastery. The price is $13 for a 1.5-pound loaf — a delicious tradition to enjoy with your Paschal meal. A limited supply will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on Palm Sunday. All payments are due payable to St. Mark's on Palm Sunday. Please see Mary Frangos or Philanthy Nichols with any questions.
A Word on Stewardship
Our Stewardship Drive continues! God is doing great things in our community, and each of us is called to take part in His work. Stewardship sign-ups remain available near the entrance by the candles. Join us in offering back to God a portion of the blessings He has given us, as we grow together in faith and service.
